High Velocity Fan with MIStER

Picture
Basically this is the idea in my head...
Just Ordered a few parts and I will post Pics as soon as they come in...

I am going to make this thing as simple as possible.  Keep checking for updates. 2/22/12

Parts needed:

Radiator Fan 20$ (autozone)
Anco Universal windshield sprayer kit 15$ (autozone)

Assorted wires and switches also (autozone)

I bought mine from amazon.com

Reasons: It's hot as Balls at bonnaroo,  I live in Florida and I work outside and Bonnaroo is hot even to me.

Why use these parts?

Unless you have a generator you need to use a 12volt DC power source Like I am going to use.

These parts run efficiently off of 12 volts because they were designed for a car.

I am going to use a small solar panel to keep my battery charged. (optional 30-50$) Reccomended.

Radiator fans Produce a lot of wind power about 5 times a powerful box fan in your house.

The winshield sprayer can be hooked to excess cold water in my coolers.

This is the radiator fan I went with.

This is the Windshield Washer sprayer.

I have to make an enclosure and wire everything up. Once done I will post pics and some video!

Supplies from home depot.  Brackets screws switches ect.ect..

Build your frame, I used wood, pre cut 16'' pieces.. Brackets and screws on the outside.

Picture
I mounted the fan on small springs for suspension.  You don't need too but its a good idea.

Mounting the windshield washer pump and reservoir and carry handle.

Get creative with your wiring, switches and arrangement of your sprayers. I opted for those switches so you can stand away from the fan.

I also installed 2 eye hooks on top to suspend with bungees.

Testing it.. The sprayers sprayed about 10 feet or more away.  And the fan is really powerful.

I will take video soon!

This was a fun project, I will be improving upon a pressure mister offered at stores.
